All I got today was this little note from the postie. I wonder which banggood order they're stinging me for... could be one of many!

BlueFlyer

If it's from banggood, you're one unfortunate mucka... I've been shopping from there for years and not once have I been stung for customs or fees. Even my huge X-UAV Talon from the international warehouse got through unscathed.

I think its a taranis Q7, as the tracking says it was delivered on the 29th and I haven't had it... and the card is dated the 29th.

Very unlucky to pick up a customs charge... although it may depend on the postage method you chose.  What was it ?

At least Royal Mail doesn't take the piss too much on the fees

BlueFlyer

At least RM tell you they're going to charge you in advance.

I had UPS call me up the other day saying they're en-route to my address and asked if I was aware there's a charge for the package he was about to deliver. He gave me a number to call to pay (about £11) but they were as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Eventually he arrived and he called the office, put me on and I paid using my debit card.

What a stupid system, why not just email me or send me a letter first? Instead of letting some bloke travel all this way when he's not authorised to hand it over.

This was sent "Air Parcel Register" whatever that  means, it was the default option with free shipping.

To be fair I think the £11.52 charge is reasonable, at least compared to the ~£30 bill TNT sent me after they had delivered the parcel, but I've got the option of ignoring that one!

I run the exact same diversity module and patch antenna. However the omni I have on the top SMA is a bignose13 skew on a tall coax... gives great clearance over the top of my fat head for when I inadvertently fly behind myself :)

Roundozo

That's not a bad idea although i don't know how fat my head is? Lol

Currently im going to use the same ImmersionRC circular antenna from my teleporters. I'll see how that goes and look at changing if it doesn't work.

Roundozo

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Roundozo

Couldn't help it. More pictures. Very happy man.

3 things arrived today... the most expensive of which was left on top of a plant in a plant pot outside !

So a Runcam Swift 2, and a little XM+ receiver... not for anything in particular, it's more a case of having spare stuff if I need to put a build together quickly.  The magazine is RC Flight Camera Action which I've got a few bits in this month (and one from Ratty as well)

I've had a box of 6 bottles of wine left in a bush before but right now I have a parcel of 5 wires waiting for me to drive all the way into Bath to collect which will probably cost me more in fuel to collect than the £2 it cost to get from China!

A bunch of parts arrived

Which I spent the day building into my first full-sized FPV quad

Made the rookie mistake of wiring up motors 3 and 4 the wrong way round, but managed to fix that with betaflights custom quad mixer. Just need some time off work and a nice day to fly it now.
