Yeah, it is the biggest purchase I've made in this hobby, and the wife nearly castrated me but I'm hoping it will be worth it. Either I'll report back with some glowing reviews or you'll see it in the classifieds and I'll be signing up to Tinder.... :P

I was quoting price as the fly more package.  But that's UK stockists, is it ? Cheaper from China, but it reeks of high risk :)

Your friend sells them.

Another quad to review.  I was looking forward to this one (The Eachine Wizard 220s) initial reviews were all "it great" which have since turned to "it's crap"  Which is a shame.  Although Bruce demonstrated it's glass fibre, I can barely get any flex in the arms - those seem very strong.  It seems to be the top plate that breaks though - so we'll see.

I had an email from banggood last week stating the arms are being upgraded to full carbon fibre and they were sending me new arms for mine for free, I wonder if your 220s is from the new batch and has the full CF arms? You could try Bruce Simpson's multimeter test on the arm plates to see if they are not a glass fibre sandwich.

We would like to inform you that the frame arms of the Eachine Wizard X220S have been upgraded to carbon fiber ones, which are stronger.
We will send the carbon fiber frame arms for X220S to you for free. However, this item is currently out of stock and should become available again in 6-9 days.
We will arrange the dispatch of your order once the item is restocked.

I didn't know that - yeah, I just did a continuity test on the legs and the top plate and I get a beep :)  I have broken pure 4mm carbon arms before though, so I don't necessarily expect this to last any longer

Nice - thanks G.  I'm still about £500 short though.  I'll keep saving the pennies.  I know what'll happen though, I'll get enough money and then they'll bring out the Mavic 2 :D

Just seen there's a 25% off coupon on the Mavic on banggood bringing the price down to £737 or £956 for the fly more with free EMS shipping. Would you get stung on import tax though?

SnoozeDoggyDog

Hi
Do you have the link to the coupon please?

Thx

Most of the guys that got theirs from BG paid about £26 in import fees.

I think about 6 of us have them now, and most got duties added.

EAchine 1000TVL camera

I paid £11.80 for this and it's fantastic... it even has WDR.

Flight test to follow, but I'm super impressed by how it handles light changes in the garage. I also love how it is cased (and the case is flat) so it can be mounted properly. The other camera I bought for £5 from Banggood was decent enough but didn't have WDR and was uncased (which I don't like as it makes mounting difficult ... ooer).

Dave

Great value for money camera.
I've sold a fair amount of these and never had one come back ;)
I've still got one on one of my 250 hacks. That poor thing has had a hard life (several steel gate interfaces) and the camera is still going strong :)

That's not bad at all when you consider what 20% actually comes to. What shipping method did you all use?

I can't see how they can make something like that for so little.
