A mobula7!!! Ordered from Banggood on 2nd Nov and was supposed to be dispatched on 25th Nov. Then email saying not available!!!! Reading into the issue seemed like manufacturer (Happy Model) ran out of batteries!!! They were saying to people who ordered direct (didn't know you could) on Facebook that they had 300mAh batts not the 250mAh advertised and would people mind.
So I emailed BangGood saying I didn't mind 250 or 300mAh batts and then it was marked as shipped on 12th Dec! It arrived today with 4x300mAh batts :D :D :D :D
So lots to do over Christmas what with a new Ender3 printer that was a replacement for the Mobula7 that wasn't going to arrive by Christmas  :D :D :D :D

Just some bits came that I'd been meaning to buy for a little while.

  • 7" non blue screen TFT to replace my bust one on my groundstation
  • Eachine 1000TVL CCD camera with WDR (big fan of these for the 14 quid they cost)
  • Eachine TX526 25/200/600mw vtx w/ raceband - again.... a bargain and im switching to these from immersion gear as I go
  • And a Frsky D8RII+ w/ telemetry which I use in every single plane I have.
  • Chocolate truffles

Maintenance mode on :)

A few bits and pieces have arrived.  Whilst I was away on holiday, this bunch of bits turned up

What we have there is a Eachine E511s which is a cheapy GPS enabled foldable quad.  It's just about the exact dimensions of a Mavic Air, but obviously a whole lot cheaper, and without much of the tech, including a gimbal.  But there's a big group of people who just want something to fly around with that don't want a race-style quad and don't want to spend proper money on a proper aerial video machine.

Also in there is a RapidFire module.  I've been after on for a while, as I figure I represent the longer-term fpv'er where I haven't got a very expensive pair of HDO's which will actually support these natively, and so need to get the extra power into these somehow.  I also have a whole bunch of old IRC600mw VTX's which don't work on the newer receivers

Lastly there's a 50A ESC for the Flux build

Then just turned up this morning (I was still in bed and had to run for it)

This is the FullSpeed TinyLeader, which is another 75mm "whoop-ish" sized quad that can take 2s, and also 3s!  Shape is slightly different to keep the props out of shot.  It does feel quite heavy just in the hand I notice though

Some fishing gloves with fold-back finger-tips so I can still use my Tx sticks + switches properly - prep for the cold weather.

Realtree camo ! Taking concealment very seriously now Steve :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

pmsl i actually have matching trousers :D

Got to work to find a couple of packages arrived :

Immortal T for the Talons Crossfire Rx. Longer battery straps for my freestyle quad. The Vifly V2 lost model alarm for the quad.

And a Line-Thru Albino Trout for nothing even remotely FPV related :)

Will that Immortal Tee fit on an R9MM then Ian...?

IPEC4 is it..?

                                                                                                 :vulture:
Nothing beats the smell of Jet-A at 800 Celsius...:)
Falcon UHF & 1280mhz Video.
SW1900 & Storm.

No its U.F.L Ipex so it needs an adaptor wire to switch down connector sizes which you can get from here for £3.69 for 3 and they came within 4 days I believe.

Today my Furious Smart Case turned up. I wanted the 4x capacity of the original Fatshark lipos, even though it is quite large in size. I like the design although the reviews showed it didn't discharge properly wasting a lot of the mah on board, but looking at the firmware it does cater down past 3v per cell so I won't have to do the step-up converter mod to it after all.

Another EAchine Pro DVR - I really rate these for £18, this one will be wired into the receiver on my goggles - it only weighs 9g and is powered off 5V.

Going all in for winter and bought a new flask for early morning coffee at the field lol

1.0L, £11 shipped ... roll on the frost :)

LCD voltage readout module so now my groundstation build can be completed, coolio.

CurryKitten

FrSky sent me their F4 flight controller with an in-built R9MM to test.  It's nice that it also comes with one if their T Antennas

..although the journey wasn't kind to the UFL connector and it was hanging off, but gave the impression it was attached because of the glue (be careful if you get one)

We haven't had overwhelmingly good results from the R9 stuff so far, but I did note there was a firmware update on the 30th December saying it fixed the RSSI issues... although it was a bit vague about what exactly

FPVSteve

Isn't the whole point of the glue to prevent that from happening?
