motor, esc and 6S pack arrived today.

Not yet gone to full power, I honestly think the damn thing is going to tear itself apart at that RPM... I'll feel much safer when this thing is in the air!!!

! No longer available

Few little bits today, an rx - an x8r as HobbyKing were out of d4r's and so I thought maybe I'd use the 16 channels on it.  And some rapstraps.  FlyBoySee gave me a few strips of these and I really liked them especially for putting things on quad arms like ESCs.  They work like cable ties, but are way more flexible and grippy

Some stuff to assemble a bungee launch system for the endurance wing, to save any future launch mishaps.

Oh how the worm has turned! Just ask if you want any tips! I've got a load of para cord if you need any.

I want to know how you attach the silicone to the cord and stake ends.

Seems by the time I get enough tension on the silicone it starts to get very thin and want to pull itself free of whatever method of binding I've chosen. Either that or it's so tight the silicon ends up getting ripped apart. Usually get a couple launches and then have to re-tie it.

I use cable ties and wooden dowels. Put the dowels in the rubber bungee, then cable tie front and back with them being doubled up. Done it once, never had them come away yet.

I used this launch system for years on very heavy EDF models and had zero failures in components. Cannot say the same for the pilot though. There is a formula for working out tension and tube diameter. Take a look at this link http://shop.wemotec.com/index.php?k=17&lang=eng
