They're light weight transponders designed to aid pilot awareness / collision avoidance in manned aircraft, and support the main systems  used in Europe :)

As part of a Uni project, I'm integrating them into the Mavlink protocol, allowing for collision warning and autonomous avoidance of manned aircraft :)

Deadline is march, but should start testing in September,  I'm  expecting lots of crashes,  as  I'll be intentionally flying X6's and X8's at each other :P
