Glad you posted this Ian - i was going to reply and say yay, glad it's you doing some reviews as I seem to be filling up the product review sub forum.  Then I noticed you had the X2 and realised I got sent one the other day.  I hadn't twigged it was a new product as it looked like a previous one, but this can have it's channel/band etc changed by TBS smart audio, so I'd better get on and actually look at my one in more details too !

SunnySky motor for my second Mini Talon.....It may get put in my Skyfun first though.

Looks genuine to me....Hologram on Box....

A nice package of goodies from Banggood arrived today, in there we have -

A replacement motor for the one that burnt out on the Wizard X220S - also gives me a good excuse to root around and see if I can fix the issues with the ESC noise on the live image.  The RX is a FrSky X6R, which is a 6 channel receiver with a built in stabaliser.  I was having some issues getting the MiniRaceWing in the air, so that's where this one is going - hopefully will make launching a bit easier

Got this charger to review, it's tiny and cheap and has 2 charging ports (although only to 2A each)  But I thought it might suit the quad people charging up multiple 1.3A lipos.  Has it's own PSU as well which is nice... we'll find out.

... and the cherry on the top is this rather gorgeous looking 105mm micro quad from Aurora RC.  You'll notice it;s already got a 2.1mm RunCam Micro Swift installed, and even comes with Gemfan 2035 props.  Sadly, it's not the FrSky ready version, so I have to completely ruin it with my dodgy soldering and get an RX squeezed in there.

That little quad looks amazing! Is it a 1S affair or 2S? Look forward to seeing how you get on with it.

Dave

I like that little quad :)
Interested to hear your opinions on the AKK stuff too as I haven't tried their stuff yet ;)

CurryKitten

Super cute isn't it, looks more like a 5" quad that's shrunk in the wash :)  I've had good results with the AKK stuff.  It looks similar to other stuff, but they always come with lovely silicon wire and other people have noted that it seems put together better.  It's good that Coyote has an X2 as well - as other opinions I think are always useful, but I just tested this today, and the Smart audio is really cool... I can't believe what a sucker I was actually pressing buttons with my fingers when there's a way to do it with the goggles still on.

It says 2s and 3s Ewan, but 3s seems a bit high for 7000kv motors - but I'll check that.

Hi Wayne...I have that FrSky (S6R)..with onboard 3 axis giros....You will need the SBUS interface and the APP to set it up....Unless they have sorted the lua script..? So you can talk to it via your Taranis...If they have, be interested to see you review it...
When I tried it in autolevel, the servos were super smooth...but its a pain adjusting gains etc in the field without the lua script...:(

I have unfinished business with an FPV T-Rex 600 or 700 in a scale fuselage. My first ever FPV flight was with a T-Rex 600  :o

Coyote

Didn't even know Naza Heli existed !

Please post up details of the build and how it goes.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

:o Ian where have you been? Do you remember back in the good old days when Quads were made of wood and the Futaba 401 gyro was the mutts nuts' and you soldered your own KK board? Well, that's how far the Naza H goes back, also it's has a GPS for position hold, Atti, flybar less etc. I sold my T-Rex 600 back in the day to fund the then "game changer" Naza V1 after my mate showed off his landing at our feet.

A new review quad arrived from Gearbest today, and there was much excitement from me

This is the Bfight 210, which I've just found out is made by AuroraRC who made the QAV105 Micro that I loved.  Looks like some quality components in there as well (look at that lovely lens on it).  Looking forward to taking that out for a spin/crash/etc

EKEN H9R Action Camera 4K.

Source..... Bangood via the EU Warehouse  fast delivery on Sale offer right now at £27 inc free delivery.

Seems like a genuine product according to the Firmware type loaded and the battery is heavy enough to be a keeper.

First impressions is that the colours are very natural looking and 1080P @ 60fps is probably how I will use it.

What I find extraordinary is that amongst all those accessories there is NO LENSE CAP....wtf? Maybe they thought we would all keep it forever protected in that plastic Scuba diving case?

The lense is very vulnerable to scratching without a cap on it....wtf were they thinking?

For the outlay, is pretty good value Id say, I wanted a Camera with a viewfinder for taking ground footage only.

Hi, Whats the picture like when you connect to a TV via the HDMI cable?

I only ask because I bought one of these about a year ago and the picture suffered from severe over sharpening. Looked like everything was covered in snow!

The strange thing was if you played it back on a computer it looked fine.

Might buy another if they've improved it .. :)
