Read statement ..  what a lie !

Say they lost control, then they smash UAV as per safety procedures.
Even my 450 quad loosing control will not smash with that style, compare to broadcasting huge X8 !

Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Picking the bones out of the statement

Control was lost due to radio interference so presumably it went into failsafe hover. Then it was somehow maneuvered or drifted over the piste and the decision was made to cut the throttle before it went over the crowd line.

Anyway I expect the ICAO will have to investigate the incident.

Nothing like UHF 😀😀😀
Now it may be illegal but at least it's safe.

Also if they "lost" control why did it not go into RTL?
The point I'm making is quite simple: hobbyist know how to make a safer system. Notice I wrote safer.

Coyote

You have either lost control or you haven't. You can't cut the throttle of something you don't have control of. The copter would be over the piste anyway. Looked nothing more than a motor / esc / fc failure mid flight.

Sorry but I'm not convinced. That craft dropped like a sack of shit. Not interference would do that. The FC would go into RTL. I stand by my statement of a fooked battery. Or was the pilot being a dick?

So which statement you standing by then? 😀

A fooked batt or dick the pilot? 😜

Cockney Boy

How about a dicky battery lol or the dick forgot to monitor his flight time !

Oh god decisions decisions :)

Lola

Well whatever way his name ain't gonna be clever dick lol

marcin

  dicky battery

I bet it was battery fault, this looks like one lipo setup. Can see one only anyway...

BlueFlyer

Interference... nope. RTH would have kicked in.

"safety procedure... reduce altitude and power off".... biggest load of bollox I've ever heard. Anyway, if you had lost control you couldn't reduce alt and power off.... so deffo bollox

What's happened to me that's caused any of my multirotors to drop out of the sky...

ESC Failure...yup
Motor Failure...yup
FC Failure...yup
Prop Failure...yup
Dead/Disconnected Battery...yup
Poor Piloting...biggest culprit lol

Their statement on it is a load of bull poo

Brucey

I dunno,  looks like an elf and safety nightmare
