Many years ago I was given a new job as Sales Manager in a small engineering company. Previously I had worked my way up through the shop floor and all aspects of production.
The very first Sales task I had to do was quote a selling price of a new component to a customer. The Technical guy gave me a comprehensive costing, providing a very detailed and accurate picture of how much it would cost to produce this turbocharger component bracket.
I checked and checked the costing, then spent about half an hour staring at it. Eventually I went to the previous Sales Manager and asked him, "I know exactly what this part will cost - but what is the correct price? Is it cost + 5, 10, 15 or 20% ????"

He replied and it really stuck with me, " There is no such thing as a correct price, the right price is as much as you can get for it / the maximum you think a customer will pay for it."

This maxim is true today of most items, regardless of whether an RC or non RC item. If it's a new product, charge a lot, then reduce the price as demand reduces.
If you buy the latest brand new released quad, it is almost always more expensive than 6 to 9 months later.
