Should a uhf rx be on the wing- or just the antenna?

My standard ezuhf is mounted on the hatch. The RX sits velcroed  underneath. I had no issues today but didn't go far at all

I would also keep the RX near the antenna and extend the Sbus/Servo wires.

On the other end of the connection, i once tried sitting behind the van with my EZUHF antenna on a 1 meter extension out in the cold, which was great other than the fact my range, even on high, was severely reduced

What aerial and coax were you using? It shouldn't have that much on an effect at all.

I agree, 1m is not a lot of coax at all in the grand scheme of things. I've had my diamond antenna on the roof of my car on the end of a 2m coax extension with no issues.

maybe you just flew behind the van lol

English Turbines

Its a UHF reciever, a bit of coax isnt going to effect it a whole lot...

On the CLF200 coax I use, it's 1/2 dBi loss of gain per meter, so basically neglible
