Newer Versions of the Minim OSD

OK - updated the diags a bit further.

Put up a APM/Pixhawk connections option that replicates how its normally done there - without all the confusing multiwii / cleanflight stuff

vbat1 and 2 are common use names in multiwii / cleanflight worlds, but understand how it can be confusing.
Renamed to bat1 and bat2. Added some extra words in.

Got a couple of hundred of these. Will be going on sale in next few weeks once all the diags / instructions are done, but can be ordered through the store now  - or via pm / paypal if prefer.

Visited your site, yes the Camera / Vtx wiring diagram is there, very good...It was the 12v power shared across Camera and vtx pins which was a bit worrying, now clear.
  I will send you a PM soon as I would like one now to play with...Do you supply 90 deg header pins too..?

Eh? Why is it always me who does crappy 'how to' videos which always end in disaster?

@ET - yes I have 90 deg headers. When I figure out how to I want to add option in store. Unfortunately it adds to the postage.
I can squeeze a normal 40 pin row in to the cheapest post option.

@Vortecks - everything ends in disaster. its just a question of how long to wait until it does :)

Ok, so I managed to purchase the MWOSD Configurator APP.....By some kind of miracle it would seem.

Looks like a lot of folk are struggling to purchase it use the Chrome Shop, still not quite sure how I managed it really.

The Configurator has a lot of features, some of which dont appear to work properly yet, although I managed to make a simple Screen layout and save it.

   Not sure if Im up to getting the original GUI to even install, let alone use it...lol...The APP looks promising though, but it clearly isn't finished yet..?

Is there an update available..?..................

  The other obvious question is....Can I use my Minim OSD Configurator and load the Aeromax board with Arducam firmware and have it work?

New version was released by the developer yesterday. It's been a hard task for him, but its leaps ahead of the old one in terms of reliability. The old one was almost unusable for some users because so slow.
For me the new one works very well – I use it every day and particularly the simulator for developing.

Any issues you find, please let me know. At moment I am not aware of anything not working, but with something as complex as this I am sure there are a few!!.
Seriously – any comments good or bad get assessed and put onto the wishlist.

A couple of notes:
•   You can use the aeromax board just like a regular minim with arducam etc.
•   You can use this to load arducam – or any other hex file onto minim osd
•   The MWOSD configurator will only work with MWOSD.
•   The GUI screen layout simulator is only an "approximation" of how it will look
•   The emulator is mainly for developers, but I know some use it to play around – it's designed for functioning with xxxxflight rather than APM .
•   Relatively few APM/PIXHAWK users – never advertised in those forums. So you'll be leading edge. It is an area I would like to improve.

We sadly do have a challenge with people purchasing because their countries do not permit use of google store... Numbers are actually pretty small – about 0.05%, but it makes up for 80% of issues raised so my perception is it's a big issue.... There is a workaround for them which is now published in the FAQ

That's all very useful information to me.....Today I ordered the Aeromax OSD and the suggested M8 GPS. My intention is to use it as a stand alone Navigation Aid with the new Runcam Mini Swift Camera. I currently use an old Skylark Tiny OSD and really like the simplicity of it, although I also have an APM and Minim.

  Since I want to use it for fixed wing only, Im not exactly sure what Firmware to load it with, bearing in mind it will not be used with an Autopilot..?...I want to try MWOSD and the APP as it looks pretty easy to use.
  What is confusing, is that the APP allows you to load Arducam Firmware, which when loaded, wont work inside the very APP you loaded it with...??? I thought i had bricked it because after it just would not open the comm port.....Now I know why...LOL.

Back inside the Minim Configurator had it sorted though, now it works again.  I think you need to address this as others will fall into this trap....it cant be just me who is stupid..lol.?

PS...Why does it say "Disconnected" and those numbers etc under it???....I liked the event log too, that was useful to see what was happening.

    Oh brilliant mate, thats good news...Look forward to that one...Im wanting a lightweight bare bones Navigator myself, just the Aeromax and the M8 GPS reciever will do me fine.
  I may not even use a current sensor....With the Swift Mini, it should all fit in a pretty small bird...like the Skyfun for instance...lol.
   Have you considered getting a swear box...?

Oh, bugger mate...sorry to hear that, so whats happened to your Taranis..?..I had mine all in bits to paint it, and I mean all of it...Check your  lipo power connector where it meets the pcb with the white 3 pin plug...the battery can put strain on the cables if your not careful...as the lipo is a tight fit...Im going to solder on a Servo plug on a soft short lead, so it all fits in better...

It's been playing up for a while mate and I'm pretty sure the STM32 processor is fried. I started getting weird screen glitches a while ago and then my EZUHF started to failsafe for no reason and finally, it doesn't even power up.

I've got a new one now and the 1st 2 mods I've done (the same as my old one) are the battery connector and the speaker mod.
I should be thankful really, it's lasted 3 years and.......it didn't break when I was flying!
