Hey G, you need to check this user out:

Basically, you have to find the model number of your laptop/monitor LCD panel first and see if he makes a driver board for it.

for example, you would need the following LCD panel:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252717251808

and this driver board:

No probs.

If you already have a LCD panel, check the barcode on the back of it to get the model number. The likelyhood is that if they don't have a specific eBay listing for your model number, you can message them and ask if they can do one for your screen.

Mine arrived the other day with no fees to pay, so happy days.

Looking good there... slowly gathering ideas in my mind as to how my build will go.... just waiting on some materials to arrive from eBay.

Biggest problem I found was the shortness of the Cables ....This really limits where you can put the PCBs....If the screen is mounted on a frame and could be removed easily from the (deep) Lid, you could hide both behind the Screen, as you only need the IR reciever on show to use it...Feeling lazy, I couldnt face making a frame and did it the easy way..Typical....LOL....It is better than I thought it would be though, just nowhere near as bright as my LED backlit Monitor.....

I see what you mean.

I had planned to make a panel/frame for mine to fit in from the start so hopefully I won't get that issue with mine.

I must start my own thread and stop talking about my GS in your thread lol
