That's good, never realised it would last that long!

You can roughly work it out by looking at the mah used by each device running off the lipo.

Simon.... yeah it is, took a while to get here but they seem pretty good. Altho I was test flying the other day with a big dark cloud blanking the sun and I have to say the image could have been brighter... further tests to come.

I've ordered another 5.8vtx for a spare and using on my multicops.

I finished mine last night. Went with stock trim in the end.

Ended up in bed all day 12 hours sleep! I was feeling like crap and could not get my head off the pillow! Missed a great FPV day, she will have to wait till the weather clears up.

I got 3 flights in today... I moved everything back that I could to get the cofg further back and it handles much better now, altho its at its most stable with the throttle wide open which is quite unnerving if you're trying to get a measure of the thing.

I flew all flights from launch to landing through the goggles, both launch and landings were an easy affair without drama.

The light was suffering as rain headed my way but the camera image doesnt offer that much detail, maybe some good light will help that.... more testing needed.

Following this thread with a smile on my face. Sometimes the research is as fun as the final product.
How much are these things coming in at from scatch?

Got luck @ the races.  :)

think its:-

airframe and one 1000 nanotech pack £35 delivered
motor and esc £14 delivered
servos about £12 for both
RX whatever you got kicking around.

£61 total

vtx/vrx modules were £25
camera £25

but unless you're quick on the old sticks I wouldnt recommend the PJ as an fpv platform... tis good fun tho :D

Nice!!!

Now what you need is a vac formed part to keep it stream lined. With a decent cam it should be good quality even with the defraction going on.  ^-^

For some reason, I cant upload the picture in the normal way, but do have a look at thees links and see how the new full size camera is mounted.

Thanks guys, I have channeled some grooves besides the camera and some holes in the bulkhead, so that air runs past the camera and throw the inside of the fuselage, should keep everything cool.

Hi Andy

We're still testing the PJ's and the setups to get a good measure of them before we start racing, we're hitting barriers like the little cams not being detailed enough (might try refocusing mine) for low flying and with the fpv gear up front its tricky to get a decent cofg... I'm having to add lead to the back of mine.

Prolly going to be a week or so before we have the first unofficial race/test day.

There is of course the unlimited class but not sure what the other guys have for that (interms of racers).

I like the idea of having a few race weekends through the summer, there will be circuit racing and time trials but also none speed challenges like duration comps, bomb drop challenge, commando course etc... you get the idea.

should be fun :)
