iv just kitted out the zagi with fpv gear and its ready for some fpv action

it was a truly epic day and watching the footage back some fantastic z action

I think we should get that zagi up with us next time, I know some great spots at snowdon, Helvellyn as well as a real nice little spot in the brecon beacons!

We could even try somewhere else in the peaks! Dove dale??

Yup! Ordered all the ET gubbins for the new Zed a day or so ago. I won't order up the new airframe until it all arrives. Probably be about 3 weeks if I know HK. I'v got everything else apart from a motor.

Any progress on your build mate?

Don't want to hijack the thread too much, but here are a few pics of "the big girl" build so far. Went through a few iterations of battery box and FPV camera mounts until i settled on these ones.

If i get some spare time tomorrow i may gorilla the battery box and camera mounts in place and cut the rest of the holes for the Ruby boards.

I 'was' going to run both an EzOSD and Ruby but i'd need to run two current sensors; one for the EzOSD and one for the Ruby which all seemed a bit like overkill.

In the short term i was thinking about ditching the Ruby and just using EzOSD, but it looks like Ruby OSD Beta modules will be about during november, so i may decide to ditch the EzOSD instead - and just use a TinyTelemetry for the ground station tracker. The only downside to that is no EzUHF RSSI indicator unless uThere add it to Ruby functionality, which i'm sure they will at some point.

Yeah mate, looking like a tidy build - just make sure you set the cameras with a slight downward tilt or you'll end up with them exposing for just the sky & you won't want that! I'm sure you're already on it though. ;)
