Hi guys

I cant seem to get hold of the Scotch Weld. Can i use the imapct adhesive that you get it B&Q ? or should i stick to Uhu Por or ever Gorrilla Glue.

Advice on which glue to use would be great.

I ordered two of these wings based on the review and what I read in this thread :) Looking forward to get it.

Quiet here on the Venturi thread :)

My models should be on the way now. Anyone else who would like to share how they have configured their Venturi? pictures etc?

Anyway, this is what I plan to use in mine:

-4s lipo 4500 lipo
-FY31 w/ Hornet OSD
-Telefly card for MFD
-Sunnysky X2820 1100kv or Hacker A30 10L 1180kv motor
-Castle Creations ESC
-Sony 600tvl camera + GoPro2
-Fitting metal gear servos from the drawer
-Rangelink LRS
-Sunsky 800mw or 400mw 1,3ghz Vtx

Brucey

Still building mine. I'll be running 3s, 2.4g video and ezOSD and ezUHF. Here's the latest pic, still need to cut the slots for the battery and set the CoG. Its getting there.

looking good :)

I was thinking of widening the front part of the center equipment bay to make room for the single 4s 4500 pack and then make a new coroplast hatch to cover it. I might also close off, or bridge the area aft of the lipo, to have a separate compartment for the equipment. The plan is to fit the Vtx out in one wing half and the Rangelink RX in the other.

In any case I think I need to get the model on my workbench and lay out all the equipment to see how and if it will fit :)

Brucey

Thanks, yeah I had to lay it all out several times and ended up having to put the esc in the hatch right at the front otherwise it would be miles to tail heavy. Hope it don't overheat.
I won't be having any cooling ducts as I plan to use it over water a lot.

Looking good Brucey, can't be long before you're maindening her now?  :)

Roll on the better weather and I'll be back out with mine.

Thanks mate, if it wasn't for work getting in the way it would finished by now!
Next I have to check the video quality for inference, cut battery slots, lam, control surfaces. I just want to fly the dam thing!

Mine is coming on now but I've hit a snag !! My 4 cell batteries seem to be as deep as the wing even at its thickest section !! Thinking of swapping to 2 no 2200 three cells as I'm not too worried about fast performance but will I still get a decent duration ??

mjc1970

What make are your 4S batteries Ant?  Mine are GenAce 4S 2200 and they go in with room to spare.  I think you'll be fine with the 3S duration wise, see how you go.

Looking good though!

They are the standard Zippy flight max cheep ones that I use in another plane. I have a nanotech that seems to fit better but I reckon I will go down the 3 cell route and see how that works out with a 9 x 6 apc. Cheers

Damn it - it's been over three weeks now and my vinyl hasn't arrived yet. I have had to open a PayPal dispute. Is there any other decent supplier that people have used. Perhaps I should use laminate instead???

Brucey

Mines lam'd and vinyl'd. Just a few finishing touches to go!
