LONGEST DISTANCE (and return) FLIGHT OF THE DAY COMPETITION

Bignose13 has kindly sponsored a prize for the farthest flight of the day and the winner (verified by ground station footage and GPS distance) wins a Bignose13 5.8 Helical Antenna and a matching skew.

These antenna's are fast becoming renowned for their accuracy, build and picture quality and are now used by some heavy hitting FPV'ers the world over. Not that I'm suggesting that bignose13 should offer multiple prizes, but as the long range will most probably be taken by someone on 1.2/2.4 video and 433 control.  Let's keep a record for all the combinations. 2.4/433 control 1.2/2.4/5.8 video and combinations of the two... just for fun, and also if someone has the same combination as you but can go way further, then you can have a look/chat to see what he's done to eek out that little bit extra

That's a shame - nothing else to fly ?  FBS normally is just starting his build as we all turn up, and it's not like you need something fast to race.  I've got a stock RTF AXN for that, if it makes it round I'll be happy

Thanks. I hope someone else can fly now..

I could get a plane flying but I would like try to address this issue that caused the crash. I would like to sort things so that my RcTx detects loss of video and automatically puts the plane into RTL mode. Shouldnt be impossible. Just need to route video from AT via my Rc transmitter to the goggles rather than AT straight to goggles. ( and detect maybe hsync and or vsync but there are some standard I'C's to do that) Also want to get my AV audio modem done so I have redundancy in the telemetry for the tracker. It came in quite handy not being tied to video in this case. So quite a bit to be getting on with. And I still havent tsested the Orange OpenLRS to any distance yet either so not entirely sure of it...

I assume I can always turn up as a spectator though?
