Looks fast, sound like a screaming cat!
How fast did it go? Did you get a read out from your osd?

His OSD displays speed in beard-seconds so wouldn't make any sense to anyone else even if it was plugged in.

Brucey

Ha.
It lands hot too, I like it. Need to see it in the flesh. Was the launch with the bungee?

I like the way you think that while doing 200mph you're going to have time to look at a plethora of stats in your OSD! I'd be using 110% of my brain power just to keep the thing in the blue.

Look forward to seeing and hearing it again tomorrow mate.

A sad occasion indeed. Mind you, all the composure went out the window when Brucey had to start digging half a foot down to pull the nose cone out!

I hope you get it rebuilt mate, the project's still got plenty of potential, I reckon all it needs is a good throw rather than the bungee.

This sort of thing is way out of my league

But do you really need to bungee launch it?

And second- assuming you're planning on staying fairly close range- can you mount your cloverleaf horizontally inside the fuselage somewhere to improve aero, or even use a ducky if it's a bit cramped.

Brucey

Yeah it prob does need the bungee, it doesn't generate a lot of static thrust.
And the aero drag on a clover is minimal. , he couldn't lay it flat because the nulls would mess up the reception. Plus 5.8g on linear is a no no.
