Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

very interesting. PLA is less flexible too than ABS but that might be a good thing although it can also be more brittle. Is there any reason why it's a plank and not a swept wing? would that make a difference with speed? or does that only start becoming a problem near supersonic speeds :)

Nice, interested in this :)

Reminds me in style to a Ripmax plane I had a long time ago.

That thing was very quick. Look forward to seeing sound ground recordings of your speed runs :)

I've got one of those little HK Rare Bears.  It's crazy fast but yet small.  Truth be told a bit too small/fast for my eyes when flying LOS.  Often thought about FPVing that.

Cover the servo and linkage in some vaselline / ky jelly.

In theory a spray of wd40 should remove it afterwards!

Looks fantastic Andy! Seeming as it's pretty much done, does that mean you're up for some flying at the weekend?!

The motor must of failed, 10a is nothing really.

10A going through a 1.2KW motor is a brief stroll, something wrong there for sure :(

These are a bit pricey Andy, but Mega motors are popular with pylon racers:

That on a 6S swinging a 6x6 will give you about 3.5Kg of thrust drawing 50a.

On my project I'm going for a power 25 1250 on a 4s with an 8x8. A steep pitch spinning slower seems to be the way to go, tricky on the launch but builds speed nicely.

A race? I thought you were just building something so we could fly proximity without my wing stalling!  :P

Mine's a reasonably simple build mate, Rob's printing me off a Venturi sport with the motor mount a little farther forward, I've 3D printed a custom camera mount and hatches to make it FPV. I'm running it fairly light on 2x 3300Mah 4S batteries.

I don't hang about so I hope to have it ready for a maiden on Sunday.
