Title: Mini Talon
Post by: UAV Aviation on February 08, 2016, 11:33:22 PM
Started a new project, the Mini Talon. Half the size of my X8 so I don't need a launcher  :P

Looks good. There are people out there who have managed incredible range with the mini talon. It covers ground pretty quick too!

Its a fast great long range FPV plane which is quite small.....really good.....Which probably explains why H King UK don't stock it...

The people that run that Warehouse are so useless...:(

Going to use a MFD autopilot and I know I can select the mini Talon in the MFD menu, but I can't find how to connect the Vtail servos.....do I just put them in the rudder and elevator AP port and let the MFD AP figure it out??

Yes,

No mixing in TX.
MFD takes care of it,

I have one in my mini talon.

Ignore the CG stickers on the wing, they're wrong, ask me how I know
Also what motor and prop you using?

Thanks TJ!

Setup will be SunnySky 1250 kv and a 9x4.5 prop.  For CG I normally use 1/3 of the wingcord measured from the leading edge. Have not checked or looked at the sticker position yet.

Same motor/prop as mine
My CG  eventually was about 2mm behind the servo wires, the stickers were about an inch in front  :o

It's been that long since I've flown anything.

I haven't a clue about cg on it.
Servo wires rings a bell though lol

Mini Talon FPV/AP setup. The only thing missing is the Runcam Owl FPV cam and the video switcher.

Time for an update. Talon is almost ready, tested the system setup and it all worked well. It's now time to glue the fuselage parts together.
