ZMR better arms and other upgrades

I can see where you are coming from 100%.
And now that the new arms come in 4.2mm thickness it would mean replacing all 4 arms quite an outlay I can understand if it had been made out of 3 mm carbon then you could have easily change a single 6" arm, others could be changed as and when needed.
I have a few options that could be done, I could have made up some spacers to be added to the original armed to allow the 4.2mm arm to fit I would have to find out how much I could make them up for.
Ther is another option more radical and not what I would prefer do you remember the reinforcement disks Bruce showed your in the video that I sent him with the prototype arms, they were not designed as reinforcement disks but as sacrifial disks they are made of the same chineese carbon and are designed to take the impacts instead of the arms, that type of design could be reworked into to exactly what Bruce assumed it was a reinforcement disk only it would not be a disk but a reinforcement plate shaped to protect the motor and cover what Bruce thinks is a weak spot the start of the motor plate. It would be attached to the original arm with bolts and epoxy the bolts would use the existing motor mount bolt holes with my custom keyhole mounting holes and the 2 m3 holes on the arm near the end of the arm. These reinforcement plates will not be as strong as my new arms but should be a promising compromise.

Can you weigh an arm when you get them too please, see how much that extra mm makes.

I will prob grab a set and put them through some stress tests to compare to standard arms.

I have been searching out other suppliers of carbon sheet, I refuse to look in China, there may be some companies that make quality carbon but I don't trust them.
I confined my search to the UK all the prices were similar the. I found a company on eBay that was charging more than china but less than all the other suppliers I had found before, the A4 sheets on eBay  are no good to me but on enquirering I found that the A4 sheets were seconds and leftovers from their main work.
They make the carbon themselves out of woven carbon on every layer, this type of carbon may not be as strong as blackout's but we may find it is strong enough. I am waiting for more prices so I can work out the price of these arms.

I'm now up and rolling.
