So is the 32 channel thing properly sorted now.  Previously the 32 channel receivers worked quite nicely on Boscam bands but were less than optimal on Immersion.  I'm presuming Immersion wouldn't put something out that worked better on the VTX they didn't make - but just wondered if anyone knew for sure that this issue was a thing of the past.

I am presuming now that what Immersion did was incorporate the Rf-Sky modules inside the receivers so you switch between their own Airwave based receiver and the Rf-Sky one.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

I was wondering, is there any advantage in having one duo receiver to having two uno receivers?

Coyote

The advantage would be that you would need a diversity unit used along side the two Uno`s, three times as many power cables, twice as many video / audio cables.

When your using the Duo its one power cable, one video / audio cable and only one unit

Ah ok, I didn't realise the duo had diversity! Its sounding better all the time!

Just like to point that rather than spending extra on diversity a far neater better option IMO is to get an antenna tracker instead.

I use a tracker on 5.8 GHz 25 mW ( ie much less than most use) with a helical at the Vrx end , no diversity and never have any signal problems. Once you are more than a few meters away the tracker is locked in. Diversity will never be used.

I still disagree :)  Antenna tracking is neat, but you can't deny adds another layer of complexity to any flight.

So does diversity surely unless you dangle it off your fatsharks.. so to speak :)

I like to have both - diversity so that when I forget to switch the tracker on I still get some kind of signal, and a tracker so that when I forget to set home on my OSD then Brucey can guide me in by telling me which way my antenna is pointing.  :-[

FPVSteve

tbh im enjoying using my head as a tracker with my goggle mounted helical , as disorienting as it is

It make sme think about where the plane is in relation to me, all good fun - except when doing close flybys because I have to spin my head around fast :D

Introducing a new RaceBand-ready version of the Uno5800v4.
v4.1 of this popular 5.8GHz receiver will be available for order from our factory next week.
Hardware-wise, this unit is identical to the existing product, but it does support 5 bands/40 channels, instead of the normal 4 bands/32 channels.
The additional band is our new 'Race Band', supported by the Vortex Race Quad. These channels were chosen for maximum channel separation, with intuitive channel numbering/ordering, and legal for resale within the USA.
For existing owners of the Uno5800v4, an upgrade will be offered through our repair centers shortly
