Well it all went tats up today. I must state though I'm not down, not saddened. Just glad I eventually got all the bits back. I had a total loss of video 500m out. Hit RTH but nothing returned. I set off on foot for the last known position DVR and phone in hand just in case I needed co-ords checking. Luckily the talon wasnt far from where where I lost video. I had earlier been flying at a further distance than when i lost signal on this occasion. I can only assume that the farm house between me and the talon affected the fresnel zone. I was 300 ft up and 500m so it shouldn't have been an issue.

Before anyone asks no i didnt test RTH on this flight. I still had slight nose dipping issues so thought testing rth would end in disaster. I've since been told RTH would try to maintain alt so therefore try to keep the nose up. You live and learn!

Opinions welcome, good bad or ugly

Battery 1 was a blast and I was going to call it a day. But I thought to myself that I couldnt waste such good weather. In went battery 2 .... nuff said. Ive got loads of HD footage of battery 1 flight from ground and in air but I cant be arsed editing tonight. I'm just off call and want to sink a bottle ;-)

There is a short youtube vid of the dvr fooatge. The HD footage on the runcam must have saved due to sudden loss of power. There is also a link to some photos and short videos of me searching and finding the Talon.

Ive just been informed my newly ordered talon has been dispatched. Fingers crossed i'll be in the air by Friday!

Well you're not getting interference from the ESC...

Firstly because the interference will be there all the time if that were the case... ESC interference doesn't all of a sudden just happen at range.
Second, you're using a Vector and by design it has filtered voltage outputs to power the fpv camera and vtx.
Thirdly, your ESC is at the back of the plane, the Cam and VTX are at the front... quite literally as far apart as possible on the MT.
