Bugger :(

Can you get the frame plastics replaced ?

Do you think stepping up the thickness of the plastics would help ?
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

I reckon it's a crash that won't happen again so the frames are good 'as is'.

I'm going to see if Pasty can cut me another sometime, with the weather we're having I reckon I won't need it for at least a couple of months !

Paul with all the favours you've done me in the past I'd be happy to send you my delrin frame if you want it - I didn't like the tricopter flying style much and have moved to a quad so you're welcome to it :)

PM me your address and I'll drop it in the post.

That bit that snapped on yours is the flexible part of the frame tbh, maybe a weak point (although it still much have taken a huge hit to completely snap it).

In the photo are those the 4" nails you used to put it together ?

M3 Screws .. you can see from the bends that it never had a rough landing, one careful owner, etc etc ;D

Pasty

#26
the frame is sound and plenty up to the job, if paul had done similar with a carbon or GRP frame it would have been alot more damage.

FPVSteve

Well yea, but it still snapped so it's not Paul proof is it

The frames are certainly strong enough and a work of art, it was just freaky crash with the tri trying to plant itself tail first when I had full forward stick in.

I reckon the CC board was being affected by vibration maybe and freaked out, the LOS circuit just before FPV had been ok but the wind was starting to pick up.

As Pasty says, if it had been carbon fibre or GRP then it would have been split and bust into a load of bits.

Keep me on your list for more of these when you cut any more bud.....
