I'm looking for a solution so that when I get the Skywalker to the field, I can attach the wing using just one connector for the 2 x ailerons, 2 x flaps and lights.

If I tot up all the pins I'm going to need its 14 (12 for the 4 servos and 2 for the power to the light circuit).

I was looking at existing connectors like the VGA male/female D connector which has 15 pins, however do I really need that many if 5 of the pins are grounds? Can I get away with a lower pin count connector with just 9 and have a shared ground somehow?

Also what other connectors would users recommend?

Disappointed.  I thought this was going to be a crash video.

LOL, me too!! hahah

Krikey: You can common up all the grounds, and all the positives.... (so long as they are run from the same battery / source)... only the signals need to be separate.

so actually all i need for 4 servos with power for the lighting circuit is a minimum of 6 as the grounds and +ves are shared.

Fighteraces also supply the ashlok connectors.  http://www.fighteraces.co.uk/

I use a 9-way for my skywalker wing.

Glider guiders often use Multiplex connectors for just this purpose. You can get them loose or wired as adapter leads.
