Cheers guys!

I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. It had it's maiden yesterday too, which couldn't have gone better really. Needed some up trim but that's all. Might be just a touch nose heavy. Oh and I forgot to set the motor brake.

Just need to wait for this bloomin wind to drop so I can get some stick time "Goggles On"... Can't wait! :D

Cool! Could come to you or could fly at the floodplain near me as we did last time???

There's also a bigger one close by too.

Spookfish

Flood plane sounds good mate. Be quicker if I come to you straight from work (Marham).
Weather looks a bit windy, doable though.

Hi Spookfish,

What flight batteries are you using on your Zed.

I have Zippy Compact 4s 3700mAh and think they are perhaps too big.  I've got little or no space to connect them to the ESC/ Current sensor without hacking lumps out of the rear of the battery bay.

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Bob.

I have been using Gens Ace 3300mah 4S packs (connected in parallel) with good results. However I will be swapping over to Nano-Tech 6600mah 2S Hard Case packs (connected in series) giving me a weight saving of around 120-130g. Not only are these packs smaller and lighter, they are also cheaper! Win win! ;D

That's an interesting battery idea. I thought you missed typed 2s instead of 3s!

Spookfish

Nope, 2S is the way ahead I'm thinking. Less wiring too as you don't need to have the balance lead in the plane at all.
