Hi guys - is there room for one more? A dirty dozen? Just mentioned the thread to my wife and she said 'sounds like fun, you should go...'  :o  :D

She's just had a hip replacement op, so I'd been wary of abandoning her, but with her encouragement I think it has to be done. But only if there's room for one more...

Vtx is 5.8 and r/c is 2.4. Will bring my Phantom Photoship as well as an fpv kitted foamie...

We had 3 immersion 5.8s in the air yesterday with no probs.  ;D

Don't forget to attach your antennas to you vtx's.  Wasn't there a chap (no names lol) last time who nearly bit our heads off shouting someone had swamped his frequency by switching on another vtx during his flight :D  oh dear where's the antenna lol.  Easily done though swapping gear between models at the field.

I think the old fashioned peg board idea someone mentioned could be a good idea, if we can be arsed to do it.  Pegs for ImmersionRC channels then put peg back on the board once your model has gone out of range, stuck in a tree with flat lipo or safely landed and switched off.

To simplify things even further, I'm thinking closer to the time we can analyse the list of RC and video frequencies and then group set ups into group 1, 2, 3 etc. Ahead of the time we'll know which combinations of Immersion and Foxtech (and others) can fly together and everyone can agree in advance which channels they'll be on. That way all the guys can preset their channels so there's not too much fiddling on the field, and know which set ups it's safe to fly with.

Does that sound like a plan?

With such great weather outside I suspect the feedback will come in later once all today's editing has been done :)

id love to do some kind of time trial around markers like the Red Bull challenges. Has anyone had any experience of that with RC? Nothing too fancy.
