Turns out that I will be in Iceland on this date  :'( :'( Sorry but going to miss it.

That said should be FPV'ing down a volcano!!! Now that should be fun. Wonder how long it will take for the foam to melt??
Loads of cool FPV stuff on our Facebook Group, like it today:

Bad news guys from Bardney Club.
The warbirds event scheduled for the 2nd of June has been extended to include the 1st as well so the FPV meet has had to be postponed/cancelled.
Sorry about this but it's beyond my control.
I will keep you posted if I get offered alternate date(s)

FPVSteve

Ah well can't be helped - ANYONE who still fancies flying on this date, I'd still be up for finding a random location somewhere - I've booked the time off on a Day Pass from the wife, and I'm damned if I'm giving it up lol

Chris in Kabul

Fine idea Steve, I'll come as well.

I too have a Day Pass I don't want to cancel - could we have a 'random' location reasonably close to Bardney ?  That way we'll all have a similar distance to travel as if going to Bardney.

Could we contact Coyote's nearby X8 finder farmer ?
You learn something new every day.

I'm out tonight having a beer and grub with the farmer who's fields me, Coyote and Dakarsg have been flying at recently so am going to ask him about this, a lot will depend on what crops he is growing as it's all arable farming except for the one field right at the back of the main house.

The other farm a few miles away had sheep in the field all of last year so was good for flying, the farmer there is one of Dakarsg's contacts so we'd need to get Dakarsg (Stu) to do the asking on that one, that may be the better spot in June.

From the Members Map I assume you are talking of fields way North of Bardney ??

Unfortunately yes.... when you mentioned Coyote I thought you meant up this direction..... now realise you meant when his X8 went walkabout down at Bardney last time  ;D
