DJI F450 Camera Positioning

Hi all,

I was curious to know if anyone can give me some advice. I have the 450 Quad and have a GoPro3. I would like to use the quad to take aerial photos of my house and local landmarks. If I mount the camera at the front I get the rotorblades in the shot.

I have seen some pictures of a 450 with what looks like an undercarriage for the camera to go in. It looks as if you can alter the angle so you can get the view you require etc. Could anyone please point me in the right direction of were I could purchase this sort of add-on or if anyone can suggest anything better.

What you want is some of my sexy legs then you can mount the GoPro under the quad (yes I know it's on top in the pic below) and get rid of the view of the blades.

I have had two GoPro's mounted under the quad. One facing forward and one pointing back. Got some great shots and not a blade in sight  ;D

Do you think that would work? I guess if I got the Gopro Gimbal for the DJI F450 as well that would help stop any wobble in the video?

Also what frame are you using and how would I mount the camera under it if I go with the leg extensions from else were?

On an f450 frame (as per my one) there's enough room to mount the GoPro (2 in my case) on the bottom of the front plate and have enough clearance.  I get a small sliver of a leg appearing in one side of my video - due to the lens of the GoPro being slightly off centre - but if you are taking high megapixel pics, you'll have no issues with cropping this small bit out.

I guess I would still have a problem if Recording a video as I would have to edit the video to remove the leg from the video if possible.

Do you think this would resolve the problem? Or would I still have the issue of the landing gear in the way?

All gimbals are different, so to be sure you'd need to find an example of it flying with the same setup you will be using.  Im sure there's an angle you can put the camera at which will have a clear view though.
