am I right in assuming that 1.2 skews are more expensive due to more materials required?
how much for a matching pair of 1.2 skews suitable for the hobbyking lawmate 1.2 equipment (not 100% sure whether they're sma or rpsma, they havent arrived yet)?

Quite correct Chris and the fact they a bit of a pain to do,
If you are going to use Lawmate you need SMA's mate

Simon, can you do me a right hand polarised 5.8 skew with right angle connector please to fit ImmersionRC vtx.

Length needs to be 90mm from centre line of Vtx SMA to underside of the elements.

i just tested the antenna in my dji450 and i was very impressed with result  using foxtech 5.8ghz/600 transmitter and fatshark predator . i flown 1000 meters still the video was very clear until the failsafe kicks in and return to home. but in my 5.8 ghz 7 inches monitor didnt give me the same result with the fatshark predetor goggle it only went to 300 meters and the video signal  lost completely. maybe my video monitor  receiver is not compatible with the set up but for the fatshark it was awesome to see my drone flying 1000 meters away from me lol. i will try a UHF antenna and go more further like 5 kilometers and give feedback in the future.

1st off, have that helical pointing at the quad at all times and not like how you have in the picture, if your only getting 300 meters I think you dont have the diversity turned on in the VRX Screen, or you are on a wrong channel

I am presuming that the receiver in the Fatshark goggles is an Immersion / Fatshark receiver, for ImmersionRC channels. The monitor is a boscam / foxtech receiver that CAN be used with ImmersionRC vtx's but has been found that they give very poor performance on the band ImmersionRC use

Oh yeah, thats a point, try on a different channel I;E a Boscam not a Fatshark
