SKEWS FOR £13--Helicals for £20,

Hi Simon

I'd like a 5.8 helical LHCP to match with the skew from HK.

Not sure whether to go 3 or 5 turn, the versatility of the 3 appeals but the 5 is more future proof I think! I'm still new to fpv and remain within a few hundred metres but I'd like to confidently stretch that with a better antenna. I'm tending to 3 turn, but what would you suggest?

Yeah go for the 3, you'll find it'll be perfect for what you need and easily sellable when you want to upgrade to a 5 or even a 12 when you get a tracker

Would you please send details to buy SP's from you to fit my FS Attitudes and FS Rx ( SMA) Am looking to use an elbow so I can get the antenna as high above my 250 quad as possible.
Am using Spiro's.ATM but dissapointed with the present range of around 25-300 m.
What would you recommend in order to achieve a range around 6-800 meters please?

Hi Simon, received the the helical Rx!  Had the chance to try it out for first time on Sunday.  Works great! Well pleased with it.  Thank you.
You were right about getting a 3 turn.  This is plenty enough range for what I need (for now, until I get more adventurous!), and the FOV is wide enough that I can point it in the general direction and be OK. 

Quality piece of equipment compared to the other helicals I've seen out there!

Yes, have been taking footage on GoPro 4 Black, stabilised on 3D gimble, so looks nice and smooth!  Will post couple of links when I have them up on YouTube.

I have a question about the helical - will it perform better on certain frequencies, and if so which one(s)?

I'm using a Black Pearl diversity receiver with 32 channels.

It's pretty wideband mate, I'd say go from 5760 upto 5900 but just leave it on 5800 if you can
