If things go to plan i am hoping to take a couple of plateforms to south of france in September this year I,m going by eurostar this time so can carry more weight.

I been trying to find out what the ground rules are over there and whats a definate no no as they carry guns  :D
And i don,t want to upset the locals, I didn't see any model shops or anything relating to this hobby or rc flying in general last time i was in the south of france.

Any links or advice be appreciated :)

Hi Steve we will be near Sett about 150 mile from your Sister but will have a car and hoping to do some exploring this time, We stayed in Beziers last time and explored the area mainly on foot but was itching to fly some of those views.
Btw we did drink a bit of the local stuff and did eat very well ;D

The only think to watch out for is the diffrent 2.4ghz channels

most sets should have an option to reduce the number of channels they use
I think they have 60 channels where we have 90

whats on those other channels you ask....
Railway signals/points control etc etc
if I recall correctly

Cheers Mark  so best steer clear of 2.4 then for control then and vid just to be safe

Try an email to E-copter.com in Nice or http://www.ladroneshop.com/en/

They should be able to give you the necessary info.

2.4ghz for control is permitted but you need to check the manual and see if theres an option to reduce the channels you can use.

quite a lot of transmiters do it

Hi Dizzy, I have flown my quad FPV in France a number of times using 2.4 RC and 5.8 video. No issues found but it creates a lot of interest from the locals, it is called a drone by everybody.

Have fun in the wide open spaces.
EasyStar, Skywalker V2, X8, Zephyr II, FPVraptor, Spidex, ZMR250, DG300. Eagle Tree stuff.
