Hi.

wnich one is the best option. Will be mounting to a tripod

Zeeflyboy

Pretty similar it seems.

I just ordered the new skylark AAT IV, but I don't think you could go wrong with either.

The skylark has the advantage of a very neat little converter board that you can use if you have other OSD's you'd rather use. The MFD can work with other OSDs too, it's just not quite so tidy and simple. Skylark has a larger range of OSD solutions than MFD.

The MFD has the option for a second GPS on the tracker, and I have seen quite a neat little iPad application providing real time course plotting and location... Not sure if that's an official thing or home brew.

The new Skylark AAT IV has a pretty beefy looking dual servo setup for tilt and a bigger power supply. It's physically quite a bit bigger than the old one.

As you can see, it's a bit of a toss up!

I have also heard that the standard of soldering in the Skylark is much better than the MFD

Google it !!

I had one of the first MFD's, not a minutes problem with it, would buy another at the blink of an eye

Simon can't you just use a different audio channel aka, the other open channel? I'm thinking Boscam here where the mic is attached...?
This is not a game anymore!

Pretty sure boscam only transmits a single audio channel, whereas immersion is stereo.

jwmachon

Think im going for ezantenna tracker and tiny telementary

Coyote

If that`s the case then you will ave to do the same mod ( removing the mic ) if the vtx has an on-board microphone
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Hi peeps I have just got the Skylark AAT IV and RVOSD RangeVideo OSD and autopilot and Boscam HD19 and Blackhawk Plus 5.8Ghz Nimrod Antenna Set now I've got to put it all together. One thing that I was a little bit disappointed about the actual packaging of the Skylark antennae tracker. :'(

Zeeflyboy

Mine has a couple of little marks on the case too but not as bad as that.

I'm surprised they don't just wrap the power module before popping it in the box, as it is it can smash against the exposed pan gears and get marked up like that.

Did you try emailing skylark?
