EasyStar II Control Horn Assembly Problem

I am just putting together an easystar II from a kit and I am having a bit of trouble with the control horns. The instructions call for a barrel to be fitted between a double horned control horn. This looks like a press fit, but it is too hard to do by hand so I used a small vive with rubber jaws to do this. The problem is that the barrel does not turn freely in the horn.

I just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem?

I have just found the cause of my problem. The barrel I tried to fit is totally different to the other 3 in the pack and clearly the wrong part as the others fit without problems. The odd barrel looks more like a servo arm clamp.

Amazing what a good nights sleep and a fresh pair eyes can do.
