Changing from Mode 1 to mode 2 on a Futaba 6exap.

My Futaba 6exap is currently set as mode 1 (Throttle on the right) but because I want to get used to it as most people in the UK have it and because I think Mode 2 will be more natural for me I plan on changing it this afternoon after work.

The changing on the tx itself I know how to do, the physical changing of the gimbals is something I have not done before but believe that it should be easy enough if you work sensibly and intuitively. I often take things apart and it's only rarely that I am left with "spares."  ;D

I guess that you could say I am mechanically minded so I am not concerned about doing it but I thought I should run it by the experts (flattery alert!) before attempting this. Anything I should know or be aware of? Anything to watch out for besides the obvious putting things back in properly, not loosing the spring etc or is it all just simple enough ?

Thanks in advance...

Its just a case of setting it to mode 2 on startup, swapping the two springs over from the right to the left. Thats it :)

There should be no ratchet on the left to do because its mode 1, if the right side is on a ratchet then flip the metal strip over so its not anymore and pull in back so it clears the teeth :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

The manual really is poor in this respect - Futaba service centre.
They can trust you to programme it but not swap over a spring and ratchet plate.  :(
