Just to let anyone local to Doncaster / Carcroft area.

We are having a 2 day open weekend.

If anyone can make it.

Would be good to see some fpv people there.
It took me long enough to get them to allow fpv flying, even on a non open day event.

Hey Liam.

Had a feeling it was you.
It's took me quite sometime to get it allowed.

To be honest my autopilot is a better pilot than some of them. (Safety wise)

Your have to pop down sometime.

There's a few of us with helis now.

I'll have to come and have an fpv fly with you sometime.

Just trying to put my skyWalker together in time for weekend lol

Sounds like a typical old man's bmfa club there chaps, good on ya for trying to drag them into the 21st century!!!

_tj_

@flyn

It definitely is one of those clubs.
Nothing new allowed, that they have no idea about.

But I keep trying till I get things allowed, even if I have to prove it the hard way lol.

One excuse was it is dangerous, told them half the pilots are more dangerous but they still fly.

Told them cars are dangerous, but people still get up and drive them everyday. and so on etc.

Yep, agree with the heli's.
So I taught myself to fly them, and now have a collection of heli's.

so far,
I have a the Feiyu-Tech FY-41AP going in. (just put it in the bixler 2 (not even space though) last night thinking the skywalker wouldn't be here in time.)
650tvl camera
immersion vtx

Got a number of motors, but not decided on one yet lol.

(me and my glue gun would get on a lot better if it spat glue out when i wanted it, and not when I put the thing down for a minute)

On another note feel free to come and join us for some FPV in and around Doncaster.

I am in Armthorpe and there are a good few of us who fly from the pit top there. Your welcome along any time.

We already have a meet on Sunday at Sandtoft so most of us will be popping down to that im afraid. I will however pop along on Saturday for a peek.

21 years ago I learnt to fly at that club when it was on Doncaster airport!!

Simon.

I remember seeing you with heli.

Just ask someone of I don't spot you first.
Look out for the skyWalker (hopefully it will be finished)
And a blue/silver edge 540.
And a few helis if I can fit them all in car lol.

But looking forward to flying fpv with other fpvers.
Rather than myself.

Amazing how many said it looks great after looking through the goggles.

Skywalker maidened.

Needs some slight adjustment to the trims.
Apparently the fy-41ap doesn't like it trimmed via tx.

Does anyone know different?

Sorry for going off topic

I am coming down tmoz so will give you some good pointers. For a start trim it up in the air and land it. Once you have done this check where the surfaces are. 0 the trims and adjust the pushrods so that it matches where you had it trimmed to.

No worries at all. Was great to pop down to my old club. It was also good to show that FPV does not kill everyone.

I got some nice video from the quick flight I got in so will edit it up and post it on here in the next couple of days.

THANKS FOR THE INVITE!!
