3.3kg? that is heavy. You are gonna have difficulties launching that with a 9x6.

Mine at 2.7-2.8 was difficult to launch on a 9x6 with a 1200kv on 4S.

I would say 10x6 for sure.

9x6 might work on a 2200kv motor lol ... How come it weighs so much that's nuts

I've no idea...

It's likely that its not that weight and may be my scales are lying to me.  I got kitchen scales I can't read when the planes sat on them and a crappy set of fishing scales that cost less than a packet of polo's...

I've found a 10x5 so will try that and give it max throttle... If that fails Chris Klick will be making a new sale..

Weight update... 3.1Kg on better scales.  Put a 10x5 prop on her, maiden was smooth as silk... Pics and vid to follow.

FY-DOS performed flawlessly.. Normal and stabilised modes, then RTH, she came back and did a couple of figure 8s, didn't leave her to settle down the fact she came back was enough...

Much happier, now just got to resolve the EzUHF receiver issue and she'll be 100%

:-)

Thanks... I assume from that the link to the vid works??  Bizarrely it's not working for me.

From what you have seen do you think I need to go to a 10x6 from a 10x5? I've got bags of amps left in the ESC as at WOT I was pulling no more than 50A and its a Talon 90A I've got?

Nice one M6TPV, it flies..... and first launch no problems

I think it will be the Ritewing motor that will decide how many amps you load it up to, you need to check what it can take but it's possibly around the 50a mark.

And she landed according to plan too :-))

Will need to check on the motor, maybe I'll stick with what's working rather than try fix what's not broken...

Next test is an overhead launch, or Chris Klick lob with throttle on and then I'll be happy...

Yeah definitely go for the 10x6 will give you a bit extra speed when you want it. Should be able to do close to 100mph level flight.

M6TPV

She did 93mph on the flat so my guess is yes, she'll go to 100 on a 10x6 :-)
