I can now confirm this is probably the best Return to Home autopilot going.

After 6 months, the bixler finally returned home yesterday.

Albeit slightly wet, at least it came home.

P.s

Is that a Guinness world record for the longest return to home ever?

I can confirm its most definitely not the best autopilot going, but a 6 month RTH is better than not lol :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

I said that bixler would come back to haunt me.
Last image on the goggles was hanging, with the camera pointing towards a building.
We tracked the gps co-ords, and couldn't see it for looking.
My mate knocked on a door a couple of days later, and no one had seen it anywhere.

Sunday stood on the field,
Someone walks over with a phone number,
Saying give them a ring, they spotted a plane.

Went to where it was spotted, and there hanging in the leafless tree was a bixler.

Someone spotted it, and just happened to mention it at the dinner table,
And he's wife says "Someone knocked on the door a few months ago looking for a plane"

And to top it off, it was an old friend of my mates lol.

Small world.

Small world indeed, was there anything that was salvageable after all that time in the elements ?

Plane still fine, apart from one aileron came off from getting it down.
Bit of a puddle inside (great water retainer.)

We're drying out the electrics,  time will tell Hehe.

Some astounding news. .

The fs vtx that's been sat outside in all the elements still works.
The Cyclops storm still works.

Only thing that doesn't work is the rx.

Not tested servos or motor as yet.

But the main parts are all working :-)

Well we have an update.

The bixler is airborne again.

No servos have been changed all working.
Same motor.
Same prop.

There have been 2 changes.
It is now using an orangerx lrs rx.
And just put a Cyclops tornado in it.

I gave the Storm to a mate.

Test flew it Monday without the tornado.
Flies better than it did before lol.

It has now become my test plane.
