Nice video Mark. Looks like good picture quality all the way. Trouble with these antenna's is there's no telling unless you go really really far. Only been to 12km with my CPATCH and didn't notice any difference to be honest.

I recon the half helix is the way forward for a head mounted option, might have to sell my CPATCH when my Fatshark goggles arrive :)

lol i agree there dog, tbh i did notice a better quality of video compared to my 8dbi patch used to use this was on 1240mhz the camera used in this video is a cmq1993x

And I had just decided to get the cpatch! I wouldn't be using it on my goggles, so would there be an advantage to this helix on a ground station?

Nah mate don't worry you haven't made the wrong decision, the CPATCH is a great antenna, if you are gonna be staying with a tripod mount then you really have no benefit over this half helix.

The CPATCH has slightly more gain and a wider beamwidth than the half helix.
