SUMMER NORTHERN MEET 2014 - Initial planning - YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE

SUMMER FPV EVENT!!! Just a quick check to see who would be up for a summer FPV meet just North of Doncaster. I am in the initial planning stages but aim for an August meet. We should have full camping and a BAR!!!....YES BEER N' BOOZE!! Also evening flying on a local airfield after 6pm. It would be split over two sites within 1 mile of each other. One for day time use and the airfield for camping and evening flying. THOUGHTS PLEASE!!

Daytime flying would be conducted under 300ft as we are inside an ATC and in the circuit. They are fine with us flying.

Evening flights would be at the airfield with no restrictions other than the CAA FPV / LOS rules.

Hi Simon,

Yes, it would be great to meet up for another Northern get together.

It's just typical that I have a family holiday end of July and then a work trip abroad two days after I get back so I'm only in the UK for the last Bank Holiday weekend in August but if it's around that time I'd love to come over. I think family commitments will count me out of camping and much boozing but it would be good to meet up for a natter with folk and maybe even a fly if poss.

if on the weekend, I should be OK to attend... depends when exactly though as I have a few work commitments in August.

Will probably be on the weekend before bank holiday..... BMFA nationals is on the Bank Holiday.

weekend of 2nd and 3rd I could probably make, following weekend 9th and 10th is Daughter's birthday so can't do that one.

lets see if those dates are good for most other people...

That's 16/17th August - about the ONLY dates I still have free this year. I'd definitely make the trip up if these dates work out.

I'll definitely come along. I was introduced to FPV at your Spring meeting a year ago at the Doncaster school. I've lots to learn, so it will be interesting to talk to others, and see FPV been done properly !
