Back in the day when foamies were a thing of the future and balsa was the only way to construct a plane, I don't ever remember seeing these low profile servos on the market.

I can see the benefit of having them wing mounted; you don't have all those linkages to bother with. So I'm assuming that you use two channels of your Tx and link them so that they move in opposite directions?

Yes, just use a 'Y' Lead for one up one down!

If you want to be able to use 'Flaparons' you can plug each one into an individual channel and add mixes via your radio!

Thanks Ben; so does the Y lead mean it's two servos run off a single channel?

Yes, that correct!

What radio system do you have?

Ben, I have a futaba T8fg system. Bruno, I'm thinking of a Bixler 2 or skywalker. Ultimately, I like the look of your Venturi but I need to crawl before I can walk and run.

Back in the UK I have my Realflight training software waiting for me (I'm coming back in a couple of weeks for a flying visit for our grandsons christening) so during the hot months here I can build something and do some training.

In addition, I have a load of fpv gear waiting for me to bring back; I'm just waiting for Fatshark to release their Dom HD's and then I'm all set.

Bruno, oh and BTW, I took your advice and I've bought a video switcher so I can swap from my 600tvl to my GoPro3! Many thanks ;)

The venturi is great, but like you said, go with a bixler first. It's the tried and tested route to fixed wing fpv.
Good news about the switcher, shame about the delays with the goggles.

Yes, I think the first shipments were due out this week but even that's been delayed otherwise that would had announced it on their Facebook page.
