I'm not bothered about winning, its the journey thats fun :)

I'm more competeing against myself and the limits I put upon me e.g. low budget... I'll get the warm feeling of satisfaction (not p*ssing my pants) if I can get close to what angelos is putting together.

I'm looking at the black mantis motors on GC... too much KV?

But thats what I'm after isnt it, a small prop spinning like hell :)

FPV gear strapped on (literally), not the best but will do0 for testing.

Pics to come  :-[

Initial testing shows these planes to be ideal stable good gliding speed machines! 90mph is still going to be quick!

I've got a few bits to sort on my fpv gear install and then i'm ready to fly in some wind!

Pasty

so... Go Well Quick MK1 has been FPVed.... into the ground  :D

I didnt get very far before she started to twitch, buck and squirrel, sure signs of loss of control... a few seconds later and she met ground at quite a rate.

The fuz snapped in two behind the wing and tail servo stripped but the wings are fine which is cool.

I could fix this fuz but its just as easy to make another... a better one :)

Now to find out what caused the loss of control... deer stalker on!

Garys flew fine, defo not as quick with our cams simply slapped ontop so we got some drag reduction to do.

Coyote

Ah sorry to hear that Steve, are you on 35 ?
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

g.collins

It was meant to bee Steve, the gods know that the next one will be better, stronger, faster

Pasty

yeah on 35, I dont think thats the problem tho... havent had issues with it to date. I'll double check everything before the next flight for sure tho.

Lets hope so Gordon! The next fuz is going to have the camera incorporated into the design to cut as much drag as possible.

I stripped the Fuz last night, the tail, formers etc are all reusable so tome and materials saved for the next. I hope to start on it later today while the F1 is on.

hexo

Trying to reduce the drag on my one as its got a block camera out the top!

Should work quite well, wish i could afford smaller gear!

We're both on a streamlining mission, my new fuz has the motor internal with a spinner and will have the camera recessed and streamlined as much as possible... my aim is to make it look like a canopy.

I'm going to run my antenna flat to reduce drag further.

Oh and the new fuz should have space for 4s  :D

Pics later.

Having had no input RE the above inrunner motor I'll give it a go next month and see what happens :D

Steve,

If you're on 35mhz and flying fast then that's your problem, you need to go to 2.4ghz.

Flying any faster than 80mph and the 35mhz signal can't keep up, 2.4ghz is good up to 190mph.

Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days lived

Pasty

lol

That so obvious! We're lucky to have you around Paul :D

hexo

I'm starting on fuz mk2; same wings tonight.  ;D

Got what i think is about 2700kv inrunner used on a bee2 leccy job, was pretty fast on that with a 8x8 so will see what a 6x5 goes like!

The mount should be quite easy. Pics to come.

Pasty

Go Well Quite MKII... looking a bit more like it, a shame I couldnt get the nose totally smooth, that'll have to wait until MKIII :D, I've got enough space in this one for a 4s tho!

I'll try and get the FPV gear on later when the wife's gone to bed ;)

Pasty

Hey Gordon, dont suppose you've got plugs for servo linkage covers? LIke the ones you get with gliders?
