How to enable trim for channel "sub" mix (head tracking) on Taranis OpenTx

Hi - I've added a mix under channel 6 (which is my tilt servo - controlle dby the right slider on my Taranis)) for head tracking (I mix in PPM ch7 from the Predators). It works fine.

e.g.
MIXER
CH6 RS  100   012345678 Cam
:= PPM7 100  012345678 Head Track


I need to add trim to this mix. Trim is not enabled in this mix. The "actual" channel 6 is already trimmed and recentred and works perfectly (I have my cam trimmed to go from horizontal to straight down at the extremes. Mid slider is around 45 degrees down on the camera)

I read somewhere that you can assign the mix or switch to another flight mode, and thus have it's own trim.

One problems, I can't understand the concept of flight modes and when I google it all I come across are discussions on how to enable 6 flight modes for APM!

Edit: Actually - it's not the trim I need to enable, it's how to assign a servo centre and sub trim to a mix I need. My tilting servo has it's centre and limits setup on the "Servos" page.

Any ideas?

Cant you just add offset to the PPM mix so its offset to 45 degrees down when it see`s a centered signal ?

Hmm - I did try the offset to raise the cam.

When the head tracker is level, I don't want the camera at 45% down. I want it level.

What is happening is when I switch to HT, the cam goes from level (TX slider fully up) to partly down - as it finds the servo centre.

Basically I don't want any "up", just down movement with level being level and down going from level to straight down.

I'm not sure if I can achieve this as when you look straight down with the Preds, the HT resets.

Got it! Thanks for the nudge in the right direction!

I got the cam back up level with negative offset of around 40
Then I got it moving the full range by increasing "weight" in the mix to 260. Works perfectly now!
