Hi

I have a Taranis Frsky radio and need to know the basics. How do I assign a servo to one of the sliders on the left or right? (By the time you read this I would have figured it out..lol)

You go to the mixer page, scroll down to the channel the servo will be plugged into, set a mix up with the source being LS or RS ( depending on which side you want to use ) Weight to 100

That`s it :)

So why would you put servo and switch assignments on the menu page for mixing?

The switch option is there so you can have say ailerons to rudder mix, the source being rudder, then you can assign the switch to activate / deactivate the mix.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Nothing weird about it. 

OpenTX and ER9X work in a different way to 'normal' radios. 

Once you understand the logic - the others will seem clunky and strange.

OK so I have assigned the servo for the brakes to LR and it operates 2 servos. One servo is a hydraulic master cylinder for the front brakes and the other servo is the master cylinder for the rear brakes.

Due to the setup I need to adjust the front and rear servos independently, in effect brake balancing. I want to assign the 2 knobs S1 and 2 so that they adjust the throw of the front and rear servos. This allows me to use a single lever for the brakes but then adjust each one independently.

How can I do that?

You can't do that, the one channel can only have one set of endpoints. To control two servos independently you would need 1 channel for front, 1 for the back.

Same LS can control both channels, the you can change the endpoints and trim each of them separately

Thats what I did. Channel 6 is the front and Channel 7 is the back. Both are operated by the LS. I now want to adjust the travel on the front, channel 6, using S1 and the travel on the back, channel 7, using S2

How do I assign the throw% of channel 6 to S1?

Without having it in front of me it's difficult to remember what you can do.. You might be able to set the value of a global variable on S1 then have the weight of your mix on channel six as this variable?

Why don`t you just adjust the end points for each channel so that they match ?

I`m not sure how you would assign S1 or 2 to have constantly adjustable endpoints, or why you would need that. Can`t you set them so they match then leave them set ?

I`d just set the endpoints to what you want then add a delay to the mix to slow them down for a scale look

Ok I found out how to do it.

Create a custom function and assign to a switch. SA down in my case. Make the custom function adust the Global Variable GV1 using the setting ADJUST GV(1). Assign the GV1 adjustment to S1. Go to the mixer screen and assign the weight of the channel to GV1 by long pressing when editing the weight.

The problem is the weight will adjust the + and - throw and keep the centre point where it is but thats OK. I'll figure out how to just adjust the + and keep the - where it is later but it works great now
