I bought mine on ebay last year so link wouldn't work, mine is model rc832 but I think the newer version autoscan's (mine has channel up/down buttons).

Fatshark/ImmersionRC are on 20Mhz channel spacing ie 5740, 5760, 5780, 5800, 5820, 5840, & 5860 MHz.

Cheers.. I will take a look..

back to the subject of maying a Claim.. PayPal have set the claim to waiting my response.. HK have given a Malaysian Post tacking number, but now my option is to either Cancel the claim, or to "Change The Reason for the claim".. I simply can't post my comments/responce.. Got to love PayPal!

Paypal have a weird process, but it normally gets there in the end.

Unless the tracking reference shows delivered, I think they will just refund.

Cheers.. I didn't even realise it was tracked until today.. In my case it shows:

08-Aug-2014    1628    Item sent to LANGLEY HWDC    MPC PMIH (KLIA)
08-Aug-2014    1038    Item posted over the counter    MPC PMIH (KLIA)
01-Aug-2014    1010    Dispatch Pre-Alert 01/08/2014    In Transit

Langley? Where is that? HWDC is Heathrow I think.. And looking at google maps, there is a Langley just outside of Heathrow.. So it appears that its in teh UK.. But that was a month ago.. Sounds more like its stuck in customs!

But for 5 weeks? Doesn't look good.

Edit: Oh hang on ITEM SENT TOO.. Not "arrived".. So it appears it never got here.

Thats same as mine, yes, Langley is Royal Mail Heathrow distribution centre, looking at tracking it was sent but never arrived, so I suspect Malaysia Post have found a lipo in the shipment (in someone elses parcel) and seized/destroyed the whole lot.

Your tracking looks identical to mine (same dates!), one thing which annoys me is Hobbyking say 'dispatched' when they file the pre-dispatch notification, but don't actually hand over the parcel for another week - why does it take so long ??

I found this thread:

Different industry but same situation.. And in their case ALL of the orders suddenly appeared after a long wait.. So its still possible that ours could just turn up.

But I am fed up of waiting and hope that PayPal will pay up!

Back to the VRX discussion.. I knew i read somewhere that the RC832 didnt work well with the ImmersionRC TXs. See here

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=26784731&postcount=15

But its interesting that there might be an autotune version, so i will have a look around.

Edit.. Found it

http://www.dx.com/p/boscam-rc58-32ch-32-ch-5-8ghz-auto-signal-search-wireless-av-receiver-black-320847#.VBH5oWK9KK0

Thats less than £30.. Tempted to have a punt.

Edit2.. Even better price

http://www.banggood.com/FPV-RC58-32CH-32CH-5_8GHZ-Wireless-AV-Receiver-Auto-Signal-Search-p-908900.html

Says its group D frequencies are the same as Immersion, so its certainly worth a look...

paypal refunded for my delayed hobbyking order today, I hoped they would as hobbyking request to wait another 4-8 weeks for them to investigate didn't seem reasonable to me.

I ordered another one from HK UK warehouse on Tuesday, it came today, so got there in the end.

Got my refund from PayPal, so am relieved. .I cant' order what I want from the UK store.. But I have ordered the cheaper Boscam version from Bangood, so hopefully that will do what I want.

Out of interest, what happens IF it turns up? Whats the process then? Ethically, you would tell HK and they would want it sent back.. But who covers the cost.. Do they allow you to return it to their UK address?

Jon

jamesb72

I am sure you could return it to HK UK warehouse, I guess it would be up to them if they wanted to pay return postage or organise collection ?

I just got home from holiday and found a grey Royal Mail delivery card asking for £17 of duty.. Since i am not expecting any parcels, i looked up my HobbyKing order and 2 months to the day, its been delivered.

I no longer need the item as i reordered it and now have it and PayPal have refunded me.

What should i do? Should i just ignore it and let Royal Mail send it back? Or should i pay the duty, collect the item and then send it back to HobbyKing and try to claim a refund from HMCE?

My gut feel is to ignore it, but i fear this might back fire if HK believe this uas geen delivered to me...

jamesb72

Definitely ignore it and royal mail should return it to sender. I'm sure you'd never get the handling charge back anyway and you've had refund.

Coyote

You have to pay the charges, take delivery, send it back recorded delivery and apply for a refund from HMCE providing the receipt and proof or the recorded return.

Many many weeks later you will get your refund. But expect to wait nearly a month for it.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

jamesb72

Pretty sure HMCE would never refund the handling charge, so you'd presumably then have to tough it out with royal mail.

Surely best just ignore it, you've had refund so this is definitely someone elses problem now.

Coyote

They don`t refund the handling charge, just the duty added. But they will not even start the process until you have proof it was returned to the sender before they will proceed with the application of refund.
