Got the email earlier, no idea why you would really want to do that unless your really paranoid :)

Could be a great buy for jweaver :) :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

It's not cheap either! Maybe something to bare in mind when FPV goes underground 8)

OMG, IT FLIES!

Interesting - hard to tell but there doenst seem much on the PCB's - is it inverting the video signal or something?
It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense...

There is a small black chip under the heatshrink as well as the 3 capacitors.

And what's to stop someone with a really big bug up their arse buying one of these to monitor anyone who's using this system on a dedicated "Encrypted FPV monitoring groundstation" ?

:D

Presumably since they are advertised as 'coming as a pair', each 'pair' has a unique key. I like the idea and is something I've wondered if it was possible to do for a while.

It mentions in the text that anyone with the Rx device can decode the signal, so they are not paired.  I suspect it is a simple circuit to remove the sync pulse from the video signal and then re-insert it at the other end, hence, without the Rx device, a TV can't lock on to the signal.  Simple to do in software on a small Atmel or PIC chip.

It also says it's analogue, not digital which is why I asked.
