A strange lipo failure as made me check all my lipo,s

Whilst flying my Fun Cub using gens ace lipo's i had a complete power failure which was announced by a voice from my taranis saying telemetry lost, this happened to be whilst doing a lowish fast pass over the downs and happened right above me.
Th motor died away and she went into a nice smooth arc and landed in a field next to my brothers, When i eventually got near she settled slightly in the grass at that precise moment i had that voice again telemetry recovered.

Everything worked fine until i picked it up, guess what -- telemetry lost again  every movement caused this intermittent action so after disconnecting, back to studio dismantle lipo checked all connections expecting to have to do a solder job  :+

guess what all was perfect  so with a meter on the pack i tried twisting the pack slightly and yep you guessed it the Open circuit is inside the lipo not at the terminals :+

i HAVE POSTED THIS as a warning i have never had this type of failure before so check your lipo,s guys you may have one waiting in your box for that really important flight over water with all you most expensive gear on board.
I have used this lipo seventeen times before and on my EZ which i do fly over water a lot with fpv gear on board

I am so pleased i used this particular one in my los Fun cub this particular day  :D

oh a split engine cowl was the only damage easily repaired but i hate to think if it were my fpv ap EZ  :+

What a relief when you know what happened aint it? it's a real bummer when something happens & there's no answers, glad you got away lightly Diz. Right off to check those lipos.

glad that it's in one piece.
check the servo connections as well in case there is an issue with one of the wires (mainly ESC/BEC to receiver).

Same problem and I found the positive wire had never been soldered, it was held in place by the tape and pressure from the shrink wrap !!!
