Hi All

The GPS on my storm just decided to stop getting signal. It was taking longer and longer then eventually stopped. Haven't used it for several months and decided to revive it again. It found a signal but then seem to keep dropping out.
So noticed the Amp draw with the GPS only no ESC nothing just a bear bones test had it drawing 2amps. Was using about 40 mah every min. Sounds like a lot for the GPS and board with nothing else connected.

I also have another GPS I was going to try, it finds sats but doesn't appear to be talking to the Storm. Any idea what the storm baud rate is and what format it uses?

Cheers

Did you change anything else on you plane.  I had my GPS in what I thought was a great position, miles away from my VTX and next to my FrSky rx.  I got sats the first few times I flew, and then nothing.  What I did was try the GPS antenna in lots of different places on the plane while on the ground, and found that next to my rx was not a great position - I also added a ferrite ring that made everything quicker to get sats.

Actually have it removed from the plane sitting on the bench at the moment. Nothing changed in the plane when it stopped working. I had it up the front away from everything but sitting on top of the camera. VTX is way at the back. The RX for the TX would be at least 200mm away I would think.

Did you add the ferrite ring to the GPS cable? I have a collection of them. I might put back together again and see what happens.
