Hi,
Trying to cut foam on a laser cutter but it is burning around the edges. Anyone have any ideas to fix this.

A bit vague.
What type and thickness of foam?
Natibus in luto, caput inter nubila.

Faster feed rate would be my first guess, but burning foam with a laser your going to well burn it lol

All sorts of foam can be successfully laser cut but obviously the settings for 3mm Depron and 50mm Zotefoam may differ a bit, hence the request for more info.

Hows about measuring how much has burnt away and adding it ont to your template or model or whatever

OK so it's white but still no mention of the type.

Your laser is suitable for Polyester (PES), Polyethylene (PE), Polyurethane (PUR) and Neopren foams. Contact Trotec for settings for these materials and help with whatever sort of foam it is you have. They too might ask what type of foam.
