After several LOS flights testing equipment, the weather was dead calm tonight so couldnt wait any longer to give my new setup (540TVL WDR camera & Fatsharks) a whirl. I think theres only one word to describe it....WOW! After flying with my old Sony bloggie and a 10" monitor, i have to say they are not a patch on the Fatsharks. Anyway, after 5 minutes into the flight, it started to rain! I brought my Radian Pro round for landing and handed the goggles to my spotter, I brought the plane in low...... then lost all control about 300m out. I think my heart skipped a couple of beats as it lost height and disappeared behind the trees. My spotter witnessed everything through the goggles as the plane glided into a nearby field and colided with a caravan. To my delight, there was no damage. The reason? I had extended the aerial of my corona reciever to 2m but had left it coiled around the elevator so as not to stand on when launching! After all the checks and i missed something as simple as this! Oh, wont be doing that again. Cant wait for the next flight.  ;D

Cool, sounds like you had a blast, because theres no damage it seems ok to laugh at the rookie error, one of many i keep doing constantly lol

Sharks rule. Congratulations on the flight Gavjak, it is always better to know the reason for loss of control, even if it is a dumb mistake. Been there a number of times, welcome to the dummies club.
