I`ve replied on youtube, but Ill copy and past and add to it here

Your gains are a bit high still Rich. You could dial the cruise P value down or dial in a bit of D. Looking how violent I would start with dropping the P first.

The CIR value is what Radius it is at but in wind it will get as close as it can.

The AP will work a lot better with the airspeed. Mine did that ( stopped ) and I unplugged it and rebooted, plugged it back in and rebooted again and its worked ever since.

Your video could be one of many things.

How is your vtx / camera powered ? Are you using a PSU to drop say 4S to 12v ? If this is the case its probably a switching Bec conflict because the camera and Immersion Vtx`s have their own switching Becs inside them. I fixed this by running my PSU for the camera and Vtx at 9v. This sorted it out.

It might be your Tx antenna is too close to your receiver, especially if they are built into your goggles.

Also some DVR`s are noisy, although not so much on 2.4 and 5.8 as 1.2 / 1.3ghz
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Hi Richard,

The vid was great, thanks for posting it.  Gives me some idea of what to expect when I get the Z3 in the air.

I'm used to the fy31 and FY41 and wondered about the reading top centre of the screen .  On the Fy's it the degrees to turn to home ie 00 and you should be heading directly home, 180 and you're heading away.     This seems different of the MFD .....  ?

Also the arrow or pointer that moves round about a radius from the centre. I assumed that  lined up top centre and you're pointing  home but at around 4:40 (youtube time) onwards it doesn't seem to move as the plane turns before a sudden jump to position at about 5:04

Just wondered why that is.

All info is much appreciated !

Regards

Mark

great video Richard. I noticed that the airspeed readout shot up from 0 to 27 when you landed. Weird.

Merry Christmas to you.

Hi Mark, the BIG number top middle is the compass reading just like the FY.

The arrow suspends during circle mode and starts again when back in RC or STB which makes sense to me. I've never paid any attention to the arrow, but it works on a clock basis.

Cheers

Richard

Looking back on the airspeed sensor, its almost as if its reversed and not zeroed if that makes sense as also looking at the start of the video before you take off, airspeed is 24-25. It looks like it needs resetting reversing, if that makes sense.

Hi Richard,

Sorry, that was me being thick !

Was concentrating too much on the heading and not paying attention to the flight mode.

Didn't realise it was in circle mode......  (you'd think the large "CIR" would have given it away).   As you say it makes sense !

I'd better be more observant when I'm flying mine....   ;D
