My first FPV build using the Easy Star

Hi guys please bear with me, i tend to think down the old school methods of model building, Foamies is a whole new concept for me  :P

After a long deliberation regarding the e z builds on the forum i decided a plan of action so here goes,
The first thing i wanted was easy access to the battery to enable me to change out with out disturbing anything.
Hence the battery hatch, also the catch is being sorted to hold it firmly.
The next thing was to get as much space inside and freedom to move things around without compromising the strengh of the model.
So decided on putting the esc and bec outside the fuss in a pod.and route my wiring through plastic tubes glued in to the fuss.
I also wanted to strengthen the edges of the flying surfaces as i have never worked with a foamie before.
I also wanted to have my tx out in the cool air and away from my rx bits and bobs. The motor needs upgrading and i know i will have to be careful at the angle i glue in the pod, to reduce drag.

It seems with these models they need strenghening up so i will be glueing a couple of carbon rods in,  one in the tail , and one in the bottom side to hold the battery hatch and strengthen the bottom and have something for the catch grip.
The pod idea i have used before on a slope soarer to enable me to fit an old instamatic camera, it worked with great success for me then.

Feel free to have a laugh, its new idea,s that stir the imagination guys. :D

Looks cool :) So what exactly is going in the pod? VTX or ESC?

i,m fitting my esc and my bec for now , but my options are there for a second camera or like you asked the vtx if i,m inclined
but thats on the tail boom for now  :D

It would have been this week end but i have a problem with two of my hxt900,s i have glued into the ez one jitters like mad the other is getting hot so need to order some replacements :(

Got her glued together and flying surfaces on,  in the middle of wiring up when i found the problem, but nearly there.

got two models on the go but hopefully very soon  :D
